About Red Road Trading

In June of 2017 I began walking the Red Road of building a sovereign Indigenous cannabis industry in my home community of Alderville First Nation. My goal in starting Medicine Wheel Natural Healing – the first Anishinabek cannabis dispensary in Canada – was to provide safe and high quality medicinal cannabis in accordance with my Aboriginal and Treaty Rights.

Since then, the Indigenous cannabis industry has grown, and there are now over 265 Indigenous dispensaries operating on a sovereign basis across Canada. These stores need a safe and quality supply of Indigenous cannabis products if they are to compete with the Canadian cannabis industry and to meet the regulatory systems being created by many Indigenous communities. I believe that key to our collective success is the development and promotion of Indigenous brands, built on quality and consumer trust.

To meet these goals, we have created the Red Road Trading company and a catalogue to promote and sell Indigenous lab-tested brands on a Nation to Nation basis across Turtle Island.

The products that we sell meet the protocols of the Red Feather certification system. That means that they are lab tested, Indigenous made, and give something back to an Indigenous community. We encourage you to visit our online site to purchase Indigenous made cannabis products at wholesale prices.

And if you have an Indigenous product you want to bring to market through the Red Road Trading Co., then get ahold of us and we’ll help sell it for you.
