About Red Road Trading

In June 2017, I began walking the Red Road of building a sovereign Indigenous cannabis industry in my home community of Alderville First Nation. My goal in founding Medicine Wheel Natural Healing—the first Anishinabek cannabis dispensary in Canada—was to provide safe, high-quality medicinal cannabis in accordance with my Aboriginal and Treaty Rights.

Since then, the Indigenous cannabis industry has flourished, with over 500 Indigenous dispensaries now operating on a sovereign basis across Turtle Island. These businesses require a trusted, high-quality supply of Indigenous cannabis products to compete in the broader market and to align with the regulatory frameworks emerging in many Indigenous communities. I believe our collective success depends on the development and promotion of Indigenous brands, built on quality, sovereignty, and consumer trust.

To support this vision, we created Red Road Trading—a company dedicated to supplying lab-tested Indigenous cannabis products on a Nation-to-Nation basis across Canada.

All products we carry meet the Red Feather Certification standards, meaning they are:
Lab-tested for safety and potency
Indigenous-made and sourced
Committed to giving back to Indigenous communities

If you’re an Indigenous producer looking to bring your product to market, we invite you to join us. Together, we can continue strengthening the Indigenous cannabis industry—rooted in sovereignty, tradition, and quality.
